Giving Back

At Piccola Cucina we believe in supporting the community we live in as well as the global community at large. We have donated to many causes over the years, both financially and with product donation. Part of our core values as a family and as a company is to do good and give back with every interaction, whether it is in the form of knowledge sharing, mentorship, volunteering our time or by way of donating product. Children that are faced with challenges require support from the community; and in our own small way we have decided to support the following Charities in Manitoba.

The Dream Factory is a charitable organization dedicated to fulfilling dreams for kids who are battling life-threatening illnesses. We’re unique because we’re based in Manitoba – and all of the funds we raise stay in this province to help local children. Everything we do is focused on helping sick kids and their families. The Dream Factory relies solely on the generous support of people and businesses. Since 1983, when we were founded as The Rainbow Society, we’ve created cherished memories for more than 700 families in Manitoba.

To be the premiere children’s charity in Manitoba that raises sustainable funds to provide help and hope to children of all abilities, one child at a time.

At the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), our vision is a world where no one fears cancer. With the support of our volunteers and donors, we improve and save lives by taking a comprehensive approach to our work against more than 100 types of cancer. CCS funds research, provides services to those living with cancer, advocates on important cancer-related issues and educates and empowers people to make healthy choices.

 Food and Beverage Manitoba Logo

Manitoba’s food and beverage industry is the province’s largest manufacturing sector – and one of the most challenging in which to succeed. From small startups to multi-national corporations, food and beverage producers, growers, processors to marketing boards, government agencies, retailers, packagers, and suppliers, the companies that make up our industry work tirelessly to meet shifting customer demands, increasing competition, and a fast-changing regulatory landscape.

Food & Beverage Manitoba (formerly the Manitoba Food Processors Association) is an industry-led, not-for-profit association that launched in 1993 to help Manitoba’s food and beverage industry achieve its full creative and competitive potential.

We do this by providing the expertise and resources our members need most: in developing new markets, training a skilled workforce, building human resource capacity, creating opportunities for networking and collaboration, and sharing critical information about domestic and international trade, industry regulations, and government programs.

Today, we’re nearly 300 members strong, united by our dedication to feeding our friends and families, across Canada and around the world, with the best food and beverage products that Manitoba has to offer.
